The idea behind the Mercury Certified Pre-Owned Program is simple: to give you the opportunity to purchase a pre-owned Mercury that you can believe in. How? With a warranty policy, benefits package and certification process. Limited Warranty Engine All internal lubricated parts Transmission All internal parts Rear Wheel Drive Axle Shafts Front Wheel Drive Axle shafts $100 Deductible For each visit to a participating Mercury dealership for repairs and/or service (during the warranty period), a $100 deductible will apply. Benefits Roadside Assistance The owner of a Mercury Certified Pre-Owned vehicle is entitled to Roadside Assistance throughout the warranty period. By simply calling a toll-free number, this service is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year, including holidays. Roadside Assistance includes the following services:
Travel Expense Reimbursement For breakdowns that occur more than 100 miles from home, Mercury certified pre-owned owners can take advantage of up to $500 towards three days lodging, meals and a rental vehicle. Destination Expense Assistance Up to $75 is available for Mercury certified owners to cover the cost of a taxi, shuttle or rental vehicle in the event of an emergency. Designated Customer Assistance Center Toll Free Number For answers and assistance with all their benefits and services, Mercury
certified pre-owned owners can call the toll-free number day or night,
365 days a year, including holidays. Rental Car Reimbursement If a Mercury certified pre-owned vehicle should require overnight warranty
repairs, up to $28 is provided to secure a rental vehicle. Warranty ID Card To provide proof of warranty coverage, each Mercury certified pre-owned
vehicle owner is issued an ID card with his or her own individual warranty
number Certification Inspection Process To earn the designation of Mercury Certified Pre-owned Vehicle, each
pre-owned car must undergo and successfully complete a rigorous 115-point
inspection. And this inspection can only be conducted by an eligible service
technician who has successfully completed Program Awareness training. Mechanical Reconditioning Process To insure that each Mercury Certified Pre-owned Vehicle offers the level
of performance and comfort Mercury demands, each pre-owned Mercury undergoes
a comprehensive mechanical reconditioning process. This process includes
correction to standard of all items noted on the Vehicle Inspection Checklist
by the authorized Service Technician. If a part is found to be sub-standard
during this inspection, only new Ford/Motorcraft or Ford Authorized Remanufactured
Parts may be used to replace it. Eligibility To maintain an equitable baseline standard of quality, only those vehicles with no more than 50,000 actual miles from model years 97 and after are eligible for Mercury Pre-owned Certification.
